The Lowland Gorillas tracking activities will be done in Kahuzi-Biega National Park which located in Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, next to Kivu Lake, west of the Bukavu town in South Kivu Province. It covers an area of  6,000 square kilometres (2,300 sq mi) and  is one of the biggest national parks in the country.

 Is Characterized by Afro Montane forest, dense lowland rain forest, bamboo forest and sub-alpine prairies to the summit of two dormant volcanoes, Mount Kahuzi (3 308 m) and Biega (2 790 m). Kahuzi-Biega is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its uniqueness as rain forest habitat and its exceptional Fauna and Flora species in the Albertine Rift and the Congo Basin regions.

In this tour package, we will offer to tourists’ opportunity of visiting eastern lowland gorilla (Gorilla beringei graueri), which is making it one of the most important site in the Albertine Rift and one of the richest ecological region on the globe.
